Mission Statement:
To provide each and every patient with quality orthodontic care, outstanding personal service and excellent treatment results in a manner that will enhance their self-esteem. We want our patients to like themselves more and have their quality of life improved as a result of their association with our office. To ensure this, we will always strive to do our very best, to go above and beyond what is normally expected of us and stay up to date with current orthodontic education, to use the best and latest orthodontic technology and have excellent office management system.
Office Philosophy:
To have a positive impact on each patient’s life by creating the beautiful smile they deserve and need in a personal, friendly and nurturing atmosphere. We will treat each patient like we would like to be treated ourselves. We individualize and customize treatment to address their orthodontic needs. We support and encourage them throughout their treatments to achieve patient cooperation and consistently excellent results.
Office Hours:
Your Valuable Time
In an effort to be “at your service” and to accommodate all of our patients, our office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. We see patients three to four days a week on a rotational basis in order to allow you to choose the day that is most convenient for you. We also provide full coverage for emergencies and telephone calls. We value your time. Please ask any of our patients about the prompt manner in which they receive their care.
Appointment Scheduling:
Although there are ever-changing numbers of adults receiving orthodontic treatment, the majority of patients are of school age. Therefore, it is impossible for us to see all patients after school and in order to be fair to all of our patients, we ask that you alternate during school and after school appointment times. For this reason, lengthy procedures are usually scheduled in the mid-morning and early afternoon. Shorter visits are scheduled in the late afternoon and early morning. Orthodontic appointments vary from two to eight week intervals and are made many weeks in advance. Rescheduling a missed appointment may result in a less desirable appointment time to avoid unnecessary delays in treatment:
Please call and inform us of any loose or broken braces, even if your appointment is the next day, so that we may adjust the schedule as needed.
Please call 24 hours in advance to reschedule appointments.
Comfort Appointments:
We ask that you call when an orthodontic need to be made comfortable arises; showing up without an appointment may cause you to wait to be seen and a delay to those with scheduled appointments.
Patient Cooperation:
Estimated treatment times may be extended due to poor patient cooperation and/or missed appointments. Should that take place, extended treatment fees could be implemented. Successful orthodontic treatment is dependent on the following:
- Keeping and being on time to scheduled appointments.
- Good patient cooperation with headgear, elastic and/or appliance wear.
- Proper oral hygiene (excellent brushing of teeth, gums and appliances.)
- Proper care of appliances: broken, lost or distorted appliances add to treatment time.
- Eating the correct foods properly (that is, soft foods and small bite sizes.)
- We reserve the right to discontinue treatment if instructions are not followed.
Transfers:
If it becomes necessary to transfer care to another office for reasons such as relocation, etc., we will be glad to duplicate and transfer your records to the new orthodontist as needed. The fee amount will be pro-rated at the time of transfer, according to the amount of treatment that has been completed. The treatment fee is earned using the following formula: 25% at the time of banding, 50% during the first half of treatment and 25% during the last half of treatment.
